The song "Apple Orchard" was highlighted on a Pitchfork Press Music mix-tape in August 2006. Through Car Park Records the band's self-titled Beach-House, debut album, was launched in Oct 2006. Pitchfork Media rated it 16th on its Best Albums list, that year. On March 7, 2012 the band streamed a fresh song, "Fantasy", from their site. The record Bloom premiered on May 15, 2012 via Pop. A second tune in the record, "Lazuli", premiered on April-13, 2012.[14] Beach House was featured on the cover of Concern #80 of the Fader. A music-video for "Lazuli" premiered on June 6, 2012.[16] It was directed by Allen Cordell, who also directed the movie for "Walkin the Playground" from Teen Desire. A music video for the track "Crazy" has additionally been introduced.
