The song "Apple Orchard" was highlighted on a Pitchfork Media MP3 mix-tape in August 2006. Through Car Park Records the group's self-titled debut record, Beach House, was launched in Oct 2006. Pitchfork Media rated it sixteenth on its Finest Records list, that year. On March 7, 2012 the group streamed a brand new tune, "Myth", from their site. The album Bloom was released on May 15, 2012 via Pop. Another tune in the album, "Lazuli", premiered on April 13, 2012.[14] Beach House was featured on the cover of Problem #80 of the Fader. A music-video for "Lazuli" was launched on June 6, 2012.[16] It was directed by Allen Cordell, who also directed the video for "Walk in the Playground" from Teen Dream. A music-video for the track "Wild" has also been released.
