The tune "Apple Orchard" was showcased on a Pitchfork Press Music mixtape in September 2006. Through Car Park Records the group self-titled debut album, Beach House, was released in October 2006. Pitchfork Media rated it 16th on its Finest Records list, that yr. On March 7, 2012 the band streamed a brand new song, "Myth", on their site. The album Blossom was released on May 15, 2012 via Sub Pop. Another tune from the record, "Lazuli", premiered on April 13, 2012.[14] Beach House was featured on the cover of Issue #80 of the Fader. A music video for "Lazuli" was launched on June 6, 2012.[16] It was directed by Allen Cordell, who also directed the video for "Walkin the Park" from Teen Desire. A music video for the track "Wild" has additionally been introduced.
