The tune "Apple Orchard" was highlighted on a Pitch Fork Media MP3 mixtape in September 2006. Through Car Park Records the band's self titled debut record, Beach House, was launched in Oct 2006. Pitchfork Media ranked it 16th on its Best Albums list, that yr. On March 7, 2012 the group streamed a brand new song, "Fantasy", from their site. The album Blossom was launched on May 15, 2012 via Pop. Another song in the record, "Lazuli", premiered on April-13, 2012.[14] Beach-House was showcased on the cover of Problem #80 of the Fader. A musicvideo for "Lazuli" was released on June 6, 2012.[16] It was directed by Allen Cordell, who also directed the movie for "Walkin the Playground" from Teen Desire. A music-video for the track "Crazy" has also been released.
