The tune "Apple Orchard" was showcased on a Pitchfork Media Music mixtape in August 2006. Through Carpark Records the group's self-titled Beach House, debut album, was launched in October 2006. That year, Pitchfork Media ranked it 16th on its Best Records list. On March 7, 2012 the band streamed a fresh song, "Fantasy", on their site. The record Bloom premiered on May 15, 2012 via Sub Pop. A second tune in the album, "Lazuli", premiered on April 13, 2012.[14] Beach House was showcased on the cover of Concern #80 of the Fader. A music-video for "Lazuli" premiered on June 6, 2012.[16] It was directed by Allen Cordell, who also directed the movie for "Walk-In the Park" from Teen Desire. A music video for the track "Crazy" has additionally been introduced.
