The song "Apple Orchard" was featured on a Pitchfork Media MP3 mix tape in September 2006. Through Car Park Records the group self-titled Beach House, debut album, was launched in Oct 2006. Pitchfork Media rated it 16th on its Greatest Records list that year. On March 7, 2012 the group streamed a new song, "Myth", from their website. The record Bloom premiered on May 15, 2012 via Sub Pop. A second tune in the record, "Lazuli", was released on April-13, 2012.[14] Beach House was showcased on the cover of Issue #80 of the Fader. A music video for "Lazuli" premiered on June 6, 2012.[16] It was directed by Allen Cordell, who also directed the video for "Walk in the Playground" from Teen Dream. A music-video for the track "Wild" has additionally been introduced.
