A little girl is over the moon after being reunited with her beloved pet cat, 18 months after he went missing. <br>Chesh, the ragdoll-stray mix, was accidentally thrown out with the garbage when a skip he liked to sit in was collected and taken to the tip in Palmerston North in in February last year. <br>His nine-year-old owner Ashlynn Kingsford was heartbroken over Chesh's disappearance.<br> (image: ) Ashlynn Kingford has been reunited with her beloved fur baby Chesh after a 18 month search<br>She shared a close bond with her beloved moggy, which was a birthday and Christmas present a year prior.<br>Ashlynn suffers from several serious medical conditions, including a rare genetic disorder called Primary Ciliary Dyskinesi and Situs Inversus Totalis, where her internal organs are a mirror image of normal anatomy.<br> RELATED ARTICLES Share this article Share The youngster was in hospital at the time and 'beside herself' when she was told the devastating news Chesh was missing. <br>'She and Chesh have such a close bond and he means a lot to her, she got him when she was spending a lot of time in and out of hospital and not very well and they became very attached to each other,' her mother Nicole Ralston told Daily Mail Australia.<br> (image: ) Nine-year-old Ashlynn (pictured with her cat) knew straight away the search was over<br>She contacted the tip, where she was told a cat was seen jumping out of the bin as it was being emptied and was last seen running towards the fence.<br>The family conducted an extensive search of the area and posted several public appeals on social media but to no avail.<br>That was until last Wednesday when Ms Ralston was alerted to a Facebook post from a woman shared photos of a stray cat hiding under her household deck who looked like Chesh.<br>'I'm pretty sure he's been abandoned. He desperately wants love, comfort, food,' the woman posted.<br>'I think it's a boy that's been fixed. He has definitely been someone's pet, very well behaved and cuddly.'<br> (image: ) The Facebook post that ended the desperate search for the little's girl beloved moggy<br>Ms Ralson and Ashlynn visited the house less than four kilometres away in Milson and instantly knew the search was over. <br>'It means a lot to Ashlynn to have her cat home,' Ms Ralston told Daily Mail Australia. <br>'She was so happy and smiling from ear to ear.' <br>'We always thought he would come home at some point we never gave up hope.'<br>Ms Ralston spread the great news on social media that Chesh had been found. <br> (image: ) Chesh went missing after he was accidentally taken out with garbage to the local tip<br>'After 1.5years, Ashlynn's Baby is home,' she posted.<br>One person commented: 'How cool is this!
